GripeFest Beta3 release today

Hello fellow Gripers,

We released GripeFest Beta3 today and it is packed full of new features. A quick rundown of what you can find in the release:

• We added comments! Now you can comment on other people’s gripes as well as post your own!
• We added RSS! You can follow gripefest via rss feed now – http://gripefest.us/post/feed
• We added an FAQ! We answered some common questions – http://gripefest.us/faq
• We added a new social share widget! You can share your favorite posts via other social sites

Labor Day Weekend = GripeFest gets better

The GripeFest developers (all two of us) have day jobs so coding the site of gripe has to happen in our free time. Labor Day weekend was a three day weekend for us so we spent some time on some really cool features. The features are built but we ran in to some Internet Explorer issues so we will try and hash it out this week and get the new version up soon. If you have an idea for what will make gripefest.us better please don’t hesitate to submit the idea here! We will probably build it for you.

GripeFest.us Beta2 is Here!

That’s right. We just released beta2. Beta2 has new features and a bunch of bug fixes (thanks to everyone that sent us bug reports).

What new features did we build?

• A Mobile Version of GripeFest is now available at http://gripefest.us/m
• You can now edit your post if you made a typo
• We have included an age in every post
• We also improved page load times

GripeFest – BugFest

Hello all Gripers,

So we had a pretty bug filled weekend (which is to be expected by an open beta written by 2 people). Rest assured that we are working on fixing them for the next release. We also have some new features coming with this week’s release, so stay tuned!

Here are a few bugs that will be fixed in BetaV2:

*Bug Reporting gives an error.
That’s right… Sending a bug report actually causes an error. It’s not as bad as the error page makes it sound though… we still get the report, it’s just an error in the presentation redirect.

*Image tags get stripped.
Image tags should be allowed.

*Frontpage load time can be horrible.
We have tracked down why the frontpage takes forever to load for some people and we have fixed it.

OPEN BETA GOES LIVE!

We just released GripeFest on open beta! That’s right, it’s live and now you can add as many gripes as you want and your name is optional. So go to http://gripefest.us and commence the bitching.

GripeFest Go live is tomorrow!

Wow, GripeFest is going live with open beta tomorrow and we are scrambling to get bugs smashed as fast as possible. Everything is looking good and coming along. I hope everyone is ready for the GripeFest tomorrow.
